Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival is proud to partner with local and regional charities so we can give back to not only our community, but to people who need our help. Here are two organizations we are proud to partner with again in 2017.
The Heart of Tyler
Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival is thrilled to partner with The Heart of Tyler, Inc., which is Tyler’s only non-profit dedicated to the revitalization of Downtown Tyler. Red Dirt happens on the brick streets of Downtown Tyler, and this year a portion of the proceeds will go to directly supporting its revitalization. We are proud to support our home, and look forward to many years of supporting downtown.
Meat Fight is a Dallas-based barbecue competition that benefits the National MS Society to support research toward finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Meat Fight started in 2010 in a backyard with a few friends, and has grown to attract hundreds of meat enthusiasts every year. Several participating Red Dirt pitmasters attend Meat Fight as guest judges every year. Meat Fight sells out within minutes, and in five years has raised more than $300,000 to fight MS. Meat Fight will have a booth at this year’s Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival selling sweet merch, accepting donations and maybe even having a game or two for you to play. Donate to Meat Fight here and join the fight against MS.
